पदलोप चिन्ह(...):-
जिन वाक्य या अनुच्छेद में कुछ अंश छोड़कर लिखना हो तो पदलोप चिन्ह(...) का प्रयोग किया जाता है। पदलोप चिन्ह में तीन के गुण में लगते हैं जैसे (...)
दूसरे शब्दों में अगर कहें तो पदलोप चिन्ह उसे कहते हैं, जब वाक्य अनुच्छेद में पूरा उदाहरण न देकर कुछ अंश छोड़कर लिखा जाता है तब, लोप चिन्ह का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
उदाहरण :-
गांधी जी ने(… )कहा , “परीक्षा की घड़ी आ गई है हम करेंगे या मरेंगे’’।
मैं घर अवश्य चलूंगा (...) पर तुम्हारे साथ ।
पुनरुक्ति चिन्ह (,,) :-
पुनरुक्ति सूचक चिन्ह (,,) का इस्तेमाल किसी वाक्य के अंश को दोबारा लिखने से बचने के लिए किया जाता है। पुनरुक्ति शब्द का मतलब जब कोई शब्द वाक्य में लगातार दो बार प्रयुक्त होकर विशेष अर्थ दर्शाता है तो उसे पुनरुक्त शब्द कहते हैं जैसे- बार-बार, जाते-जाते, खेलते- खेलते, आदि।
रेखांकन चिन्ह (_):-
किसी वाक्य में महत्वपूर्ण शब्द पद वाक्य को रेखांकित करने के लिए रेखांकन चिन्ह (_)का प्रयोग किया जाता है।रेखांकन चिन्ह (_) को अंग्रेजी में Underline कहा जाता है।
उदाहरण :-
हरियाणा और उत्तर प्रदेश को यमुना नदी पृथक करती है।
गोदान उपन्यास, प्रेमचंद द्वारा लिखित सर्वश्रेष्ठ कृति है।
Ellipsis Symbol (...):-
The ellipsis symbol (...) is used when certain parts of a sentence or paragraph are omitted in writing. The ellipsis consists of three dots placed in sequence (...).
In other words, an ellipsis is used when a sentence or paragraph is not presented in its entirety and some portions are intentionally omitted.
Examples:
Gandhi Ji said (...), "The moment of trial has come; we shall do or die."
I will surely go home (...) but with you.
Repetition Symbol (,,):-
The repetition symbol (,,) is used to avoid rewriting a part of a sentence that has already been mentioned.
The word "repetition" refers to a scenario where a word is used consecutively in a sentence to emphasize a specific meaning. Examples of repeated words include: "again and again," "slowly but surely," and "while playing."
Example:
Instead of writing "again and again" in a sentence, the repetition symbol (,,) can be used to avoid redundancy.
Underline Symbol (_):-
The underline symbol (_) is used to highlight important words or phrases in a sentence. In English, this is known as an "underline."
Examples:
The Yamuna River separates Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
