अर्ध-विराम:
अल्पविराम से अधिक और पूर्णविराम से कम ठहराव के लिए अर्ध्दविराम का प्रयोग किया जाता है। इसके निम्नलिखित प्रयोग हैं -
1) जहाँ मुख्य वाक्य और समानाधिकरण का संबंध बहुत अधिक न हो। ऐसे वाक्यों के बीच संबंध न होते हुए भी कुछ- ना- कुछ संबंध अवश्य रहता है जैसे-
झील के किनारे टहल रहा था; मंद मंद हवा बह रही थी; हमलोग बातों में मशगूल थे कि सहसा एक चीख सुनाई पड़ी ।
2) यदि मुख्य वाक्य के परिणाम की व्याख्या अन्य वाक्यों से करनी हो। जैसे-
बड़े ऑफिसर के आते ही ऑफिस का परिदृश्य बदल गया; बिल्कुल शांति छा गई; लोगों की जवान बंद हो गई; सभी अपने-अपने काम में लग गए।
3)जब वाक्य और उपवाक्य उपवाक्यों में बहुत अधिक संबंध्दता न हो वहाँ अल्पविराम लगता है जैसे-
अब क्या करूं; वह रूठकर चली गई।
किसे समझाऊँ; वह माननेवाला नहीं; सिर्फ अपने मन की करती है।
पूर्ण-विराम:
पूर्ण विराम,जिस अवधि के रूप में भी जाना जाता है मुख्य रूप से वाक्य को समाप्त करने के लिए उपयोग किया जाता है। पूर्ण विराम, अल्पविराम और अर्ध्द विराम की तुलना में लंबे विराम को दर्शाता है। इसके अलावा, यह एक विचार के अंत और दूसरे की शुरुआत को चिन्हित करता है। इसका उपयोग अधिकतर घोषणात्मक वाक्य और आज्ञाकारी वाक्य के अंत में भी किया जाता है।
पूर्ण विराम का प्रयोग करते समय इनके कुछ नियमों का पालन करना आवश्यक होता है जैसे-
1)किसी वाक्य के अंत को चिन्हित करने के लिए मुख्यतः
आदेशों, निर्देशों, आदेशों और अनुरोधों के अंत को चिन्हित करने के लिए
संक्षिप्त रूपों और लघुरूप के बाद
प्रारंभिक के बाद
अप्रत्यक्ष प्रश्न वाले वाक्य के अंत में
वेबसाइट URL और ईमेल पते में
2) पूर्ण विराम का प्रयोग करने वाले वाक्य के उदाहरण -

Semicolon (अर्ध-विराम):
A semicolon is used for a pause longer than a comma but shorter than a period (full stop). It has the following uses:
1) When the relationship between the main clause and coordinate clause is not very strong:
Even though these sentences may not be directly related, they still maintain some connection. Example:
I was walking by the lake; a gentle breeze was blowing; we were engrossed in conversation when suddenly, a scream was heard.
2) When the main sentence is followed by explanatory clauses:
Example:
As soon as the senior officer arrived, the office environment changed; complete silence took over; everyone stopped talking; all employees got busy with their tasks.
3) When there is little connection between the main clause and subordinate clauses:
Example:
What should I do now; she left in anger.
Who should I explain it to; he never listens; he always does whatever he wants.
Full Stop (पूर्ण-विराम):
A full stop (period) is primarily used to mark the end of a sentence. Compared to a comma or semicolon, a full stop indicates the longest pause. Additionally, it signifies the end of one thought and the beginning of another. It is commonly used at the end of declarative and imperative sentences.
Rules for Using a Full Stop (Period):
1) To indicate the end of a sentence
A full stop is used to mark the conclusion of commands, instructions, orders, and requests.
After abbreviations and short forms.
After initials.
At the end of indirect questions.
In website URLs and email addresses.
2) Examples of sentences using a full stop
At the end of a declarative/affirmative sentence:
Today is our last working day.
He loves listening to music.
Rani is a teacher.
We will dance at my cousin's reception.
3) At the end of an imperative sentence (commands, requests, instructions, or advice):
Please send the materials as soon as possible.
Ensure that no columns are left blank.
Turn left after the junction.
Finish your food quickly and leave.
4) Using a full stop after abbreviations or short forms:
I needed to buy pencils, pens, erasers, notebooks, etc.
Mr. Dennis and Ms. Sheena will be the evening guests.

5) Using a full stop after initials:
