'Active Listening' workshop for Bhavna's Happy Kids

On 5th May 2023, BhashaLab conducted an engaging workshop on active listening and appropriate body language for the children of Bhavna's Happy Kids Playschool. The workshop aimed to enhance the children's communication skills and foster effective listening habits. The session proved to be a memorable and interactive experience for all participants.


Workshop Highlights:

  1. Fun Icebreaker: The workshop commenced with an exciting and engaging ice-breaking activity that instantly captured the children's attention. It set a lively and positive tone for the rest of the session.

  2. Active Listening Techniques: The main focus of the workshop was to teach the children the importance of active listening. The facilitators emphasized three essential steps for active listening: listening attentively, asking thoughtful questions, and paraphrasing to ensure understanding.

  3. Role-play and Demonstrations: To reinforce the concepts, the workshop included various role-play exercises and demonstrations. The children actively participated in mimicking different body language cues and expressing their understanding of active listening through creative interactions.

  4. Engaging Discussions: The facilitators initiated engaging discussions to encourage the children to share their thoughts and experiences related to effective communication. They facilitated a safe and inclusive environment where every child's voice was valued and respected.

  5. Interactive Learning Materials: To support the workshop, visual aids and props were utilized. These aids effectively conveyed the concepts and ensured a dynamic and interactive learning experience.
