    SECTION 2 — About the Author /

About the Storyteller: This chapter is adapted from a story by Popti Hiranandani. She is known for writing sensitive stories about human emotions and everyday struggles. This specific story highlights the life of a lonely girl who faces problems at home and bullying in school, but finally finds strength through a kind teacher.

    SECTION 4 — Summary /

Sayali is a young girl who is always nervous because her parents constantly quarrel at home. In school, she accidentally drops things and makes mistakes, so her classmates tease her and call her "Miss Slippery". She lives in constant fear until her English teacher calls her. The kind teacher speaks to her gently, offers her friendship, and gives her classroom responsibilities. This love and trust completely remove Sayali's fear, filling her with confidence and magical strength.

    SECTION 5 — Characters /

Sayali: Sayali is a young, nervous, and lonely schoolgirl. She is terrified of everyone because of the loud quarrels at home and the constant teasing by her classmates. However, when she receives love and support, she proves to be brave and responsible.

The English Teacher: She is a kind-hearted, observant, and supportive teacher. Instead of scolding Sayali, she understands her pain and speaks to her like an elder sister. She builds Sayali's confidence by giving her important tasks.
