Subject Introduction / व्यक्ती परिचय: Grace Darling was the brave daughter of a lighthouse keeper. She lived all her life in lonely lighthouses near the east coast of England. She is remembered in history for her unselfish courage, as she risked her own life in a fierce storm to rescue shipwrecked passengers in 1838.

    SECTION 4 — Life and Achievements /

    Chronological Milestones:

    • Early Life: Grace and her siblings grew up in a lonely lighthouse, where their educated father taught them to read, write, and be honest, brave, and unselfish.

    • September 6th 1838 (Night): A terrible storm wrecked a ship called the Forfarshire on the rocks, and nine people clung to a bare rock.

    • September 7th 1838 (Morning): Grace spotted the survivors, convinced her father, and rowed a small boat through fierce, hill-like waves to rescue them.

    • After Rescue: The story of their heroism was published in newspapers, they received a special reward, and money was raised for all lighthouse keepers.

    Why Grace Darling Inspires Us / प्रेरणा: Grace Darling inspires us because she showed that even a young, small girl can do great things with unselfish courage and determination.

    SECTION 5 — Characters /

    1. Grace Darling: Grace was a small but very strong and determined young woman. She was deeply caring and always felt unhappy about poor sailors stuck in storms. She showed extraordinary unselfish courage by risking her life to save strangers.

    2. William Darling: He was Grace's father, a wise, educated, and brave old man who was a lighthouse keeper. Initially, he thought the rescue was hopeless, but he agreed to row the boat when Grace insisted.

    3. Mrs. Darling: She was Grace's caring mother. With a heavy heart, she discouraged them from taking the risk because she feared they would drown. She prayed for them as they set off.
