Dates: 12th – 16th May 2025
Venue: Nalanda Public School, Mulund East
Organized by: BhashaLab in association with Saptakiran
Participants: 20 students from Std 1 to Std 7
From the very first "Om" to the last Jap sheet posted to Ayodhya, Humare Shri Ram was more than just a workshop — it was a celebration of devotion, values, and the timeless magic of storytelling.
Day 1 : Building the Bridge - With Ram in Every Stone
The workshop began with verses from the Ram Raksha Stotra, creating a peaceful, divine atmosphere. Students began their Ram Jap by writing "Ram" on symbolic Ram Setu stones and placing them into the Ram Naam Bank, recording their offering in personal passbooks.

A touching visualization followed - students imagined a glowing Ram Kavach forming around them and their families. We ended with the Family Tree of Lord Ram, a fun worksheet introducing young hearts to the lineage of the Ikshvaku dynasty.

Day 2: Vanvaas & Values
With "Ram" still on their lips, students traced the Vanvaas route - Ayodhya to Panchavati - connecting story with geography.
They discussed the complex choices of characters like Kaikeyi and Manthara through guided reflections and dramatic roleplays. The classroom turned into a stage where children brought to life the emotions of loyalty (Ram-Bharat), defiance (Sita-Ravan), and manipulation (Kaikeyi-Manthara).
Day 3: Discovering Our Inner Hanuman
The focus shifted to Hanuman and his boundless devotion. Children chanted the Hanuman Chalisa, wore and colored masks, and proudly wrote their “superpowers” on them. A guided affirmation activity helped them anchor in love, protection, and strength. We ended by watching the building of the Ram Setu, celebrating the unity of the Vanar Sena.

Day 4: The Many Faces of Ravan
We took a detour into Lanka, exploring Ravan and his team. Through a beautiful “Reject the Bad, Embrace the Good” worksheet, children identified Ravan’s 10 negative traits and chose virtues they wanted to cultivate instead. They asked powerful questions:
“Why did some rakshasas advise Ravan to return Sita?”
“Why did Ram honor even his enemies?” These moments of curiosity opened doors to rich values - righteousness, empathy, and justice.

Day 5: Letters to Ram & The Final Offering
The last day was a heartfelt closure. Children wrote letters to Lord Ram, filled with love and wishes for themselves and their families. Over 6000 times, the name Ram was written during the workshop - each time, with deeper connection. They watched scenes of Ram battling Ravan and Kumbhakaran, followed by confident and enthusiastic roleplays. In a special parent session, we shared how families could continue storytelling, chanting, and reflections at home.
Every child received a badge - “I Am Protected by Ram Kavach” - and the treasured Ramayan Character Cards. Their Jap sheets and letters were lovingly packed and mailed to Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya.
