In a small hut in the Java islands there lived a little smart and brave boy named Prabu. He lives in a humble home surrounded by green plants and what ever his eyes look around he would only see beautiful ricefields. But above all, he is just a poor boy from a poor family. He was raised by his grandfather named grandpa Ageng. His grandpa is just a farmer in the ricefields. But above all of Prabu’s hope, he really want to go to school and study like other normal children.
“Granpa, can I study at school like other children around my age?” Grandpa Ageng was speechless and could not answer anything. Looking at Grandpa Ageng who was speechless was a conclution for Prabu that his Grandpa was not able to bring him to school. Prabu was a little bit sad but he understood the situation that they are having. Prabu went outside of his house and took a book and a pen. “If I can’t learn from school, then I shall learn from nature!” said Prabu. He admire everything he saw and think deep about it.
After thinking deep, he write it down on the small book and learned more. One fine day, he was sitting on top of a tree while watching the clouds. “Prabu! What are you doing up there?” grandpa Ageng saw Prabu and joined him sitting on a big tree branch. “I am thinking about the clouds grandpa. I wonder how they are so high?”
“You know, you should not just watching the clouds move...you should try to be just like the clouds...” said grandpa Ageng. “...you must dream high just like the clouds. You said your dream is to be a famous teacher, right? Then you must struggle to be as high as the clouds.” said grandpa Ageng.
This philosophy that Prabu learned from just admiring the clouds made him very determined to reach his dreams as high as the clouds. From that day, he only want to learn outdoor so that he could see the clouds. The clouds was his motivation to keep dreaming. One day, he saw a science competiton and he was interested to join in. He attend it and was the only participant who was not from a school. “Ha! He is just a poor boy, there is no way he could win!” said a participant from a wealthy school. Prabu was sad hearing what they said to him and look up towards the clouds.
“Don’t listen to them, be as high as the clouds!” said Prabu motivating himself. The competition starts and Prabu felt every question was easy for him. He tried his best and as a result, he got third place beating the other opponent from the wealthy schools. This news spread fast and Prabu reached his dream of being a famous yet humble teacher. Whenever he felt hardship, he would always remember to be like the clouds to reach his dreams.
