Announcement: BhashaLab Language PhD Fellowship Program

Dear Researchers,
We are delighted to announce the launch of our prestigious Language PhD Fellowship Program designed to support and encourage outstanding researchers in the field of linguistics and language studies. As a part of our commitment to fostering academic excellence and promoting language research, we are offering fellowship grants of Rs 10,000 to eligible PhD candidates.
Program Details:
1. Fellowship Amount: Each selected fellow will receive a grant of Rs 10,000 to support their language research and related expenses.
2. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must be currently enrolled in a full-time PhD program in linguistics or language studies at a recognized university in India.
The research topic must be related to languages.
The research must be in English or any of the 22 official Indian languages.
Candidates must have completed at least one year of their doctoral studies and should have made substantial progress in their research work.
3. Application Process:
Interested candidates can apply for the fellowship by submitting the following documents to info@bhashalab.com :
Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV) with details of academic qualifications, research publications (if any), and relevant experience.
A well-structured research proposal (not exceeding 1000 words) outlining the research objectives, methodology, and significance of the study.
Two letters of recommendation from academic mentors or supervisors familiar with the applicant's research work.
4. Evaluation and Selection Process:
All applications will be reviewed by a distinguished panel of experts in the field of linguistics. Evaluation criteria include the quality and feasibility of the research proposal, academic achievements, and potential contributions to the field of language studies.
5. Important Dates:
Application Deadline: 30th April 2024
Announcement of Selected Fellows: 15th June 2024
6. Terms and Conditions:
The fellowship grant is non-transferable and must be utilized solely for language research-related expenses.
Selected fellows will be required to provide periodic updates on their research progress and submit a final report at the end of the fellowship period.
Any violation of research ethics or academic misconduct may result in the termination of the fellowship.
