The weather was cloudy when me and my friends , Navya and Karan, were roaming around in a forest which is not too far from our houses. Forest in a town is uncommon nowadays, but that one was preserved in the name of god (sacred grooves ). Navya was busy shooting pictures of varieties of trees for her EVS project. Suddenly , Karan stopped and said , “ Hey Mannat, should we try going there ?” he asked, pointing in a direction where people are mostly asked not to go . “No we should not..!” , prompted Navya. Though Navya had denied it, I was quite curious about the place so I agreed to try. After a short argument Navya agreed upon our plans, so we rushed in that direction.
For a while we didn't find anything new but all of a sudden Navya’s feet slipped in a ditch which was unidentifiable ; in an attempt to save her we too slipped along with her. Navya started blaming Karan for his foolish dreary plans. We took a glance at the place and noticed that it wasn't a normal ditch but it was an underground chamber..! All of us were surprised to see the chamber where there were few maps , armours, swords as well as certain texts. All those items held an essence of royalty. While looking around my eyes fell upon a mysterious box. I called the other two and took the box out. Few words were scripted in an ancient language on that box. It read as, || प्रकाशयत सम्यक समय अि वष्य || I was quite curious after reading these words but couldn't find the way to open it. Karan searched for something and got a key. I was full of enthusiasm when I snatched the key and unlocked the box. There was a kind of diary inside it, it was written in Sanskrit which was out of our understanding. We took the diary to Karan’s father who is well learned in Sanskrit. He translated the diary for us. After having a close glimpse at a few pages we got that the diary was maintained by a king or a crown prince who had mentioned his endeavours and certain facts about his kingdom. I took the translated diary to my home. While reading, I came across an interesting page which dealt with an issue relevant to present times. The translation of the page is as follows, ‘ I have always tried to keep my kingdom and its future secure. Few days earlier my secretary had informed me that after a complete analysis of reports given by researchers and royal astrologers it has been noticed that after a few thousand years the earth may face a problem of increasing heat on the earth surface. Researchers believe that this shall be because of Earth's movement as well as gradually changing conditions of the earth's atmosphere.
On the other hand, Maharshi believes that it shall be due to wrong deeds of future men due to the use of a dangerous compound. In order to secure the future, I ordered the researchers to find a solution to it. Finally they have given a theory that can be used to solve the issue. The text is being hidden at a stealthy place. It is a notice to my successors, do reach the place and get the text whenever you face such an issue. Try to apply the mentioned theory and save the world.’ || समराट परीक्षत || Reading the text, I was amazed and hopped to my mobile phone and rang Karan. I informed him about the reason for my amazement and both of us confirmed to find the place mentioned in it. I informed Navya about our new adventure and her reply was, “ I don't understand why you and Karan don't like your lives ..? Well okay ! I'll join.” Afterwards I went to search among other documents that we had found in the box. I got a note on which same words were printed as the title of the diary page i.e. “उत्तराधकारणा कत एकः दशा” I asked uncle to translate the note which read as follows; “My dear successors , your responsibility is lying at the place where divinity dwells and the sun shines directly at the top on 06 kartik Krishna paksha , shashthi Trayodashi. The place has received the blessings of Lord Shiva.” After this I slept with excitement for my next adventure. Next was a pleasant morning when all three of us met near the city garden. I shared the note with both of them. “It seems to be talking about the Shiva temple," said Karan. It seemed relevant to both of us, me and Navya. So we went to the temple and asked the priest whether there was any corner of the temple yet unexplored or not known to anyone yet. Priest answered, “ No dear there's nothing so .. why ?” In reply to the question Karan revealed the note to the priest. “We have never experienced direct sunlight on this date. It might be the hint for some other place. As I have observed on this date the sunlight falls directly somewhere in that forest.” We thanked him and rushed towards the forest. Now the question that posed us was how can a place in the forest get the blessings of Lord Shiva!! For which Navya believed that it might be a place full of snakes , which seemed quite foolish to us. We roamed in the forest with no definite direction. Karan tied a ribbon at every turning point so that we would easily navigate our way back to home. It was almost dark when we were able to see a light coming from a part of the forest which was never known to anyone. We rushed in that direction and found a small hut. The light was coming from its backyard. Before entering, we went to its backyard and found a Shivling surrounded by a number of snakes and a diamond was kept near it.
The light was due to this diamond which people often call Nagmani. We didn't dare to go closer to the ling but now we were sure that this hut is the place mentioned in the note. We peeped inside the hut , there was no snake but just a box covered with a cloth. We rushed inside the hut and took the box , Navya found the key and due to fear of snakes we ran as fast as we could. We reached our homes late at night but somehow managed the anger of parents, the box was given with Karan to his home. Next morning me and Navya visited Karan’s home. We together opened the box and found a compilation of a few texts mentioning the solution for global warming. We went to the office of an editor and revealed the text to them , after that it was known to the entire world. The text was taken for research and research is going on.
As per the research so far, the text dates back to 350 BCE when people actually used to write on bhurjapatra and those unusual pages were actually bhurjapatras. It shows that ancient people had some knowledge of science and that they were aware of their surroundings. Now we three are famous among our classmates and in society, in fact in the whole city. Research is going on and it is found that the solutions mentioned are relevant as well as reliable. We three were very happy to know that our contribution was a really important one.
