During a cold Thursday the wind blew strong and the day began with a smile and a hope of nothing going wrong.
On that Thursday of 3/12/2022, I went to my school as usual with my jacket zipped to survive the cold.
While the 5th period began our P.E sir told me to bring the supplies to play dodge ball, I ran quickly knowing that the period was short. So that I reach early, shortly did I know that it was a bad decision, as soon as I reached the supplies room near the principle office and took the supplies and was going I saw the principle peeping into a room like it had a ghost in it, at first I thought something was wrong but I did not say anything, even though I was curious. The next day I came early to school to see what was inside the room but my eyes felt a stroke of disappointment as I saw the principle in the school I knew that he won't let me see inside the room, the next few weeks were the same wake up early go to school see the principle.
Soon my curiosity started ending but one day I woke up really early to uncover the truth and after one month of struggle I finally came early enough to get just a peek and I was shocked to see a dark room filled with a lot of boxes, the next day I came even more early to see what was inside the boxes I opened the first box slowly so that no one could realize that I opened it the box was filled with meals and a tag for charity stamped in blue color, then remembered that our district holds charity donation and foster services every month but it did not get the spotlight it felt like the district management was not a part of it, by the end of the week I had opened every single box in that room some of them had food, others toys and money in case of any emergencies. Firstly I thought our school was helping the district under some big companies support but after searching online about our principle, the schools past and some teachers I found some evidence that left me shocked I had just found that our school was donating all by themselves I also got to know that our teaching department lived on charity donation's which at their time were unhygienic insanely crowded and unsafe after living this horrific past they did not other kids to be treated like they were, so that was the reason they were doing all this.
That night we had a family dinner and I told everything to my parents who at first did not believe me but when I showed them my research and the photos of the rooms and the boxes they were both surprised and happy. Even my relatives who were quiet the whole time were shocked.
The next day before leaving school I asked the principle about the room and thanked him for being a great man and standing up for the people who needed his help.
