SECTION 4 – पाठं जानीमः | Understand the Lesson
Madhava's Dream: Foot, Hand, and Eye
A boy named Madhava sees the parts of his own body (स्वशरीरस्य अङ्गानि) in a dream (स्वप्ने) arguing with one another about who is the greatest (कः श्रेष्ठः):
(I am the greatest; because of me, Madhava walks.)
(Because of me, Madhava writes, does homework, and brings things.)
(Without me, can Madhava see anything at all?)
Arguments of the Ear, Mouth, and Stomach
कर्णः (Ear) smiles (स्मितं कृत्वा) and explains that if Madhava does not hear the sound of vehicles from behind on the road (पृष्ठतः यानानां ध्वनिं यदि न शृणोति), an accident might happen (दुर्घटना भवेत्). Also, through the ear, he listens to the teacher's advice to gain knowledge (शिक्षकस्य उपदेशं श्रुत्वा ज्ञानं वर्धयति) and enjoys music (सङ्गीतं श्रुत्वा आनन्दं च अनुभवति).
(Mouth) quickly points out that through it Madhava eats food, speaks, and answers the teacher's questions (भोजनं करोति, भाषणं करोति, शिक्षकस्य प्रश्नस्य उत्तरं वदति), and with its help the stomach gets food so all organs become strong (भवन्तः सर्वे सबलाः भवन्ति).
उदरम् (Stomach) calms everyone down: "कोलाहलं न कुर्वन्तु। (Do not make noise! Let us all ask Madhava himself who is the greatest.)
Madhava's Wise Conclusion
Madhava reflects and advises them (All the parts of my body are helpful to me.) He explains how every organ works together: Therefore, all of them are great and equally dear to him
SECTION 5 – भाषा-पद्धतिः | How the Sanskrit Works
(Expressing "With / By Means of a Body Part")
अर्थः / Use To state which body part we use as an instrument to perform an action, Sanskrit uses तृतीया-विभक्तिः. When an organ is single (like মুখम्, नासिका, उदरम्, or one हस्तः), use एकवचनम् (मुखेन, नासिकया, हस्तेन). When a pair of organs acts together (two eyes, two ears, two feet), use द्विवचनम् ending in -आभ्याम् (नयनाभ्याम्, कर्णाभ्याम्, पादाभ्याम्).
(I see with my two eyes.) (I hear with my two ears.) (I smell with my nose.) (I eat with my mouth.)
स्मरणीयम् | Remember Use -एन for one masculine/neuter organ (मुखेन, हस्तेन), -अया for one feminine organ (नासिकया), and -आभ्याम् when two organs work as a pair (पादाभ्याम्, कर्णाभ्याम्, नयनाभ्याम्).
(Stating Where Something Is Worn on the Body)
अर्थः / Use To say "on/in a body part" (where an ornament, footwear, spectacles, or mark is worn), we use सप्तमी-विभक्तिः. For a single body part, use -ए (कण्ठे, ललाटे) or -याम् (अङ्गुल्याम्); for a pair of body parts, use the dual ending -योः (पादयोः, कर्णयोः, नेत्रयोः).
(Sister wears a garland around her neck.) (Sister wears a ring on her finger.) (Sister wears a pair of footwear on her two feet.) (Sister wears a pair of earrings on her two ears.)
स्मरणीयम् | Remember Notice how dual सप्तमी-विभक्तिः (-योः) is identical in form to dual षष्ठी-विभक्तिः (यथा — मम हस्तयोः दश अङ्गुल्यः सन्ति / भगिनी पादयोः पादुकाद्वयं धरति).
(Expressing "To See" and "Having Heard")
रूपम् | Pattern द्रष्टुम् + शक्नोति (is able to see) श्रुत्वा / कृत्वा + मुख्य-क्रिया (having heard / having done)
अर्थः / Use In the story, नयनम् uses द्रष्टुं शक्नोति ("is able to see"), and कर्णः uses श्रुत्वा ("having heard / by listening to") to connect listening with gaining knowledge and joy.
(Can Madhava see anything without me?) (Listening to the teacher's advice, Madhava increases his knowledge.)
स्मरणीयम् | Remember विना (without) takes द्वितीया-विभक्तिः here as well: मां विना (without me).

Observations:
We can group body parts by region (यथायोग्यं गणेषु): Head/Face (ललाटम्, भ्रूः, नयनम्, कर्णः, नासिका, कपोलः, ओष्ठः, चिबुकम्), Arm/Hand (स्कन्धः, भुजः, कूर्परः, मणिबन्धः, हस्तः, अङ्गुष्ठः, अङ्गुल्यः, नखाः), and Leg/Foot (ऊरुः, जानु, जङ्घा, गुल्फः, पादः, पार्ष्णिः).
Notice how numbers match the gender of the body part:

SECTION 10 – स्मरणीयानि पञ्च | 5 Things to Remember
Every part of the body is helpful and essential (सर्वाणि अङ्गानि उपकारकाणि श्रेष्ठाः च सन्ति); true strength comes when all organs work in harmony.
Key sensory actions in Sanskrit are: नयनं पश्यति (sees), कर्णः शृणोति (hears), नासिका आघ्राणं करोति (smells), and जिह्वा आस्वादनं करोति (tastes).
To express the organ used to perform an action, use तृतीया-विभक्तिः: मुखेन, हस्तेन, नासिकया (for one organ) and नयनाभ्याम्, कर्णाभ्याम्, पादाभ्याम् (for a pair of organs).
To express where something is worn on the body, use सप्तमी-विभक्तिः: कण्ठे, ललाटे, वामहस्ते, अङ्गुल्याम् (singular) and पादयोः, कर्णयोः, नेत्रयोः, ओष्ठयोः (dual).
Important joints and limbs introduced in the chapter's body chart include स्कन्धः (shoulder), कूर्परः / कफोणिः (elbow), मणिबन्धः (wrist), जानु (knee), जङ्घा (calf/shank), and गुल्फः (ankle).
