    Bilingual Summary

    English

This lesson introduces the Vocative Case (Sambodhan Vibhakti) in Sanskrit, which is used for addressing or calling someone directly.

    • Singular Masculine (A-ending): The Visarga is dropped (e.g., Vinayah → Vinaya).

    • Singular Feminine (Aa-ending): The ending changes to 'e' (e.g., Mithila → Mithile).

    • Plural Address: Forms like Bhoh Chatrah (Oh Students!) or He Mahilah (Oh Women!) are used.

Words like Re, Ayi, Bhoh, and He are often used as prefixes to show different emotions or levels of respect while calling.
