तदा एव एका महिला स्वपुत्रेण सह व्याघ्रं द्रष्टुम् आगता।	Just then, a woman came with her son to see the tiger.	तेव्हाच एक महिला आपल्या मुलासोबत वाघ पाहण्यासाठी आली.
मम गर्जनां श्रुत्वा बालः भीतः अतः सा माता मयि पाषाणखण्डान् अक्षिपत् ।	Hearing my roar, the child got scared, so that mother threw pieces of stone at me.	माझी गर्जना ऐकून मुलगा घाबरला, म्हणून त्या आईने माझ्यावर दगडाचे तुकडे फेकले.

अचिरादेव न इमौ परिचितौ व्याघ्रभल्लूकौ इति धेन्वा लक्षितम् ।	Very quickly, it was noticed by the cow that these were not the familiar tiger and bear.	थोड्याच वेळात, 'हे नेहमीचे ओळखीचे वाघ-अस्वल नाहीत' हे गायीच्या लक्षात आले.
